LOVE AND VIOLENCE
Many believe love is a sensation that magically generates when Mr or Mrs right appears. Love comes with happiness and sadness which we all know but does it really end up with violence? The definition of true love comes along with trust, respect, understanding, communication and commitment. In marriages, love is a two way affair in which the man compromises and the woman being submissive. The definition of love in our society today has turn into hatred and violence.
Others also believe that violence is an extreme use of force against a person both physically and emotionally with the aim of killing, damaging or hurting someone. When there is lack of respect, trust, commitment, and understanding in a relationship, it turns to hatred and jealousy. Recent reports of spousal murders in the news reminds us of how deadly violence can harm men and women in our society. WHAT REALLY CAUSE THE ISSUES OF SPOUSAL MURDER? A man commits suicide because of divorce, Farmer chops off wife's arm, 60 years old driver kills wife and many more are some of the news items we see and hear on our television, radio and newspapers.
A recent story of a woman killing the husband because he was cheating on him, ended her in prison. What are we really looking for in a relationship? It depends on the couple to know what they really want in their marriage life. Even with our boyfriend/ girlfriend relationships, there is the need to plan and know what the two really wants. Love does not envy, is not proud, is not easily angered, not rude, or keeps any record of wrongs, is patience, kind, truthful, honest and it never fails. Why then do we record the wrongs of our loved ones and hurt them in the end? Love is not violence or hatred, Lets love ourselves to eradicate violence in our love story.
